On my last trip to Paris I decided on a small 3-star hotel called Morny Saint Lazare . Since then, it has little to do with the hotel we talked about yesterday , in which the design and the prices were the highlight ... intense days to rest Paris looking for a place near a subway stop and not too far from downtown, in a quiet street , not cost me a kidney and offered breakfast buffet. The latter was not necessary, but on the prices in Paris is a great idea to gather strength for breakfast to last until lunchtime without remembering to return to refuel .
prices Morny Saint Lazare , which then belonged to the chain Hotels Jardins de Paris , seemed quite tight and photographs and descriptions of it gave me some confidence. What I decided was a special offer that included a free buffet breakfast .
This 3-star hotel between the Opera district and Montmartre , right next to the metro Liege in Liege Rue number 4. As a curiosity, was the former residence in the city of the Duke of Morny, half brother of Napoleon III.
What this data does not deceive us, we will not find frills and, as a large part of Parisian hotels rooms are quite small . But it is refurbished and fairly new, clean of course and with a breakfast that tasted glory, with a considerable variety to what other hotels usually offer their 'buffet' and full of desire kick out to Paris. The reception and breakfast room are very cozy and the staff were very friendly.
The view from my room was a courtyard, but with a small garden below, but of course, with how cold it was like to sit and enjoy the green ... The outside of the hotel gives a very quiet street and well lit, so that if I could choose I might have preferred a room on that side. Although little is for the hotel ...
My room was very similar to the image. I no longer own pictures because I was very little photographic memory, preferring to use other issues ...
From the hotel it takes about 20-30 minutes walk to get to the Opera and the same to Montmartre and the Sacre-Coeur . Another important fact: a few meters away, on Rue Amsterdam, towards the Opera, is a pancake-cider excellent, very familiar, for dinner after a busy day.
In case you are interested in this area and good prices, near another hotel was owned by the same chain of Jardins de Paris , with a similar name, the Saint Lazare in the Rue Amsterdam. Also next to the Liege metro station, in this case of 2 stars.
